Welcome to River Community Church!

River Community Church is committed to making disciples, growing in love and fellowship, and proclaiming God’s Word to Ascension Parish and beyond, all for God’s glory. We do that through biblical preaching, meaningful worship, and equipping disciples to serve with their spiritual gifts.

Our church has seen some hard times in the recent past, similar to the experiences of many other congregations. For that reason, we are rebuilding our ministries. A church in the middle of re-establishment is not for everyone, and that’s okay. However, we hope that you find the simplicity of our worship, fellowship, and service refreshing and down-to-earth.

As River’s Pastor, I want to see our church become a family that is shaped by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, with members who are abiding in Christ and helping others follow Jesus in the same way. I want River to become a church that delights in worship, delights in making disciples, delights in being together, delights in showing mercy, and builds one another up in love.

If you would like to be a part of a church like that, then we invite you to join us on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. for worship. Sunday school starts at 9:15. You can find out about other study and service opportunities here on our website or in our church newsletter.
